Colene Rogers, SHRM-SCP, PHR


Marketing Chair


Colene is a member of the John Maxwell Team as a certified speaker, trainer and coach and a Senior Certified Professional in Human Resources (SHRM-SCP). Colene uses her 15 years of experience in Human Resources as Manager, Trainer, Recruiter, Coach and Consultant to work with companies through executive coaching, leadership training, HR consulting and performance management. Colene has spent time in the classroom, board room, and on stage working for Walt Disney World, Hyatt Hotels, State of Florida, and both nonprofit and private corporations such as Syntech Systems where she serves as the Talent Acquisition Manager. Colenes passion is helping individuals reach their full potential through effective leadership and personal development, which ultimately advances organizational goals. Colene is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with degrees in Organizational Communication and Public Speaking. She is the 2016 President of Big Bend SHRM and was awarded 2014 Big Bend SHRM Leader of the Year. She has also served on the HR Florida State Council as the In–Kind 2016 Conference Chair and is currently the 2107 Marketing Chair. Colene is a native Floridian and has called Tallahassee home since 1999, where she lives with her husband and two Florida State University sons, who come home often for dinner.

ourselves to improve our circumstances. The longer we wait, the less chance there is that we will ever actually do it. Participants will learn how to grow and develop to have the best chance of becoming the person they were created to be.
