Top Industry Accolade Presented to State Council and Local Florida Chapters


Tampa, Fla.  (June 14, 2017) – The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) – the world’s largest HR professional society – recently awarded HR Florida State Council (HR Florida) its 2016 Platinum Excel Award. The award aligns individual chapters and state councils’ activities with SHRM’s aspirations for the human resources profession as well as recognizes accomplishments, and strategic activities and initiatives that enhance the industry.

Tampa, Fla. – HR Florida State Council, the premier resource for best practices serving the public and HR professionals in the state of Florida, has announced its newest partnership with NAMI Florida (National Alliance on Mental Illness) to bring awareness of mental health issues in the workplace through its latest pledge – Stigma Free Florida.

HR Florida Sponsors Student Teams at Society for Human Resource Management 2017 Regional Case Competition 


Tampa, Fla. – April 21, 2017 – The HR Florida State Council is sponsoring two teams of students participating in the SHRM Regional Case Competition in Philadelphia this weekend. HR Florida hosted its fifth annual State Student Games in January, where the prize for winners was sponsorship support for participation in this week’s Regional Case Competition.

Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Foundation Announces HR Florida State Council as Top Fundraiser for 2016

Tampa, Fla. – Feb. 15, 2017 – The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Foundation has announced its top fundraisers of 2016. HR Florida State Council took the top spot in the country for state councils, while five state chapters landed in the Top 25: SHRM Jacksonville (No. 7), Greater Orlando SHRM (No. 13), HR Collier (No. 19), Big Bend SHRM (No. 20) and HR Tampa (No. 25). SHRM has more than 575 affiliated chapters nationwide.

HR Florida awarded LifeTime  Honorary Member Florida Sheriffs Association for FL Sheriffs Youth Ranch (Feb 2017)


Recently, HR Florida State Council was recognized by the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches and the Florida Sheriffs Association.
HR Florida received the Florida Sheriffs Association's Lifetime Honorary Membership Award for raising and contributing over $12,000 in cash and supplies during the 2016 HR Florida Annual State Conference. This very prestigious award was presented by Pasco County Sheriff, Chris Nocco. HR Florida prides itself on giving back to and making an impact on Florida communities and charities. 
The mission of the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches is to prevent delinquency and develop lawful, resilient and productive citizens.
The Florida Sheriffs Association is one of the largest and most successful state law enforcement associations in the nation -- unifying Florida sheriffs in purpose and voice for the protection of Florida’s citizens and visitors.
