The HR Florida State Council provides an outstanding opportunity for speakers to increase their visibility and establish valuable contacts with a targeted HR audience at this annual conference. Following are guidelines for speakers at the HR Florida Conference & Expo:
This year we are expanding our conference benefits for our speakers! This will allow us to continue to bring in the best speakers across the country.
All selected speakers are automatically registered for the full conference! This complimentary registration includes admission to the Expo Hall, Grand Opening Reception, and the Tuesday night party. Please note: Pre-conference workshops and sessions are not included.
All meeting rooms will be set up theater style and will be equipped with the following AV equipment:
Due to the room size, flip charts will not be available. You must bring your own laptop. HR Florida does not provide internet access.
If you are a published author, HR Florida will make every effort to have your publication available in the conference SHRMStore. The SHRMStore hours will be:
Sunday: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Monday: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
Tuesday: 7:00 am – 5:30 pm
Wednesday: 7:00 am – 1:00 pm

All book signings will take place near the SHRMStore located in the Hilton Bonnet Creek West Foyer unless otherwise noted. Book signing schedule is on the Extras page.
HR Florida is going green again this year! We encourage you to do the same and DO NOT print attendee handouts. All handout/presentation files provided will be uploaded to the conference mobile app for attendees to access.
HR Florida has a standard PowerPoint template for all conference presentations. Please download the template below to prepare your presentation:
Please email final presentation and handout files to firstname.lastname@example.org, preferably in PDF format, by July 15th for uploading to our 2017 mobile app.
HR Florida is utilizing EventMobi for our conference mobile app. You can download the app on your smartphone or device. Your speaker profile and presentation information will be posted on the mobile app. Presentations and handouts can be emailed as a PDF file to email@example.com for uploading. Deadline is July 15th. Attendees look forward to accessing your handout/presentation files via the mobile app so we encourage you to participate.
Your photo and biography will be posted on the conference website with your presentation description. If you would like to have your photo posted, please email it to firstname.lastname@example.org in a .jpg or .gif format (high resolution only).
When you arrive at the Hilton Bonnet Creek, please check in at the “Speaker Room” located in Dixie on the bottom level of the Conference Center. You will receive your name badge, conference brochure and an information sheet that will provide your session room and the name of your room moderator.
Please check in at the Speaker Room at least 1 hour prior to your presentation.
